Woke up today still stranded on a digital desert island thanks to my internet provider ghosting me harder than my sex drive lately. But you know what didn’t ghost me? My goals. I did what was required. I took another jab of semaglutide (it hurts so good), kept my 13-day streak alive on Duolingo, and survived Lesson 11 of Pimsleur’s Japanese without sounding like I was ordering sushi at a Taco Bell. Progress, people.
📏 Tape Doesn’t Lie (Much to My Relief)
Alright, here’s the skinny—literally:
Measurement | Start (Day 0) | Today (Day 14) |
---|---|---|
Weight | 275 lbs | 268.6 lbs (down 6.4 lbs) |
Body Fat % | 38.3% | 35.7% (hell yes!) |
BMI | 37.3 (big yikes) | 36.4 (less yikes, still oof) |
Waist | 48.34 inches | 46.25 inches (2.09 inches GONE!) |
Chest | 46.77 inches | 46.02 inches (look out, XL shirts) |
Hips | 43.38 inches | 42.83 inches (less junk in this trunk) |
Biceps (R/L) | 15.23/14.88 in | 15.62/14.56 in (the gun show is confused) |
Thigh (R/L) | 25.27/24.17 in | 24.80/25.35 in (muscle, fat, who knows?) |
Sex Drive (1-10) | 2 (still MIA) | 2 (TRT, pls send help!) |
T-Shirt Size | XXL (tent mode) | XL (almost comfortable!) |
Clearly, things are headed in the right direction—even if my libido is still off filing a missing persons report. Tomorrow’s TRT consult can’t come soon enough.
☕️ Coffee Bar Chaos & Cookie Bribes
Ever tried working from a trendy Korean coffee bar with public wifi, your kids homeschooling nearby, and your overstimulated brain screaming louder than the espresso machine? Yeah, that was me this morning. Despite my best attempts at productivity, the sensory overload was real, and focus was as elusive as my internet connection.
But when the temptation to collapse on the couch was strong this evening, we said screw it and did our favorite family activity: “walkies and weewees,” complete with Cookies (the dog). The pup loved it, the kids laughed, and I remembered why small wins matter so damn much.
🥊 Storytime: The Best Revenge is Self-Improvement
Here’s the thing about haters, they usually fall into three lovely categories: either they see you as a threat, they’re drowning in self-loathing, or they secretly wish they were you. And guess what? We’re here to fuel all three.
Before I kicked off this challenge, someone (literally the fattest person I know) said to me, “Haha, you got fat”, and damn if that wasn’t the sweetest motivation. You see, spite is an underrated energy source. So here I am, 14 days later, leaner, stronger, and with enough discipline to outlast their negativity.
You know what’s even better than revenge served cold? Revenge served hot, sweaty, and ridiculously motivated. Each day that passes is another brick in the wall of “you can’t reach me now.” Let them watch. Let them stew. Better yet, let them be inspired.
🚨 Reality Check: Stop Waiting for the Rescue
Truth bomb: nobody’s swooping down to save your ass but you. You’ve nailed survival mode, now it’s time to thrive. Time to stop doom-scrolling TikTok quotes and actually become the inspirational quote others binge-watch.
If you can drag your sorry ass out of bed at 7am to make someone else rich, you sure as hell can wake up at 4:30am to build your dream. Set two alarms: one for who you are, and one for who you’re becoming. Which one are you going to snooze on?
📚 Book of the Day
For today’s recommendation, check out “Why We Get Sick” by Dr. Benjamin Bikman. A perfect read if you’re tired of sugar-coated BS and want a deeper understanding of insulin, fat storage, and what the hell your body is actually doing when you’re not looking.
🧠 Final Thought
It’s never “one day,” it’s always “Day One.” You can start late, start over, be uncertain, fail repeatedly, and still achieve everything you’ve been dreaming about. It’s happening now, not someday.
And to all the lurkers still debating if they should jump in? Quit being a background character in your own life. Step up, join the challenge, and start your transformation at RewiredWithDrew.com.
Let’s get it!

Drew Karriker is a self-proclaimed professional tinkerer, self-experimentation enthusiast, and lifelong learner with an inability to sit still. A former nuclear engineer turned DevOps architect, he’s built a career (and a life) out of breaking things, fixing them, and then making them better.
Despite wrestling with ADHD, anxiety, and an unrelenting need to optimize everything, he transformed his career and life in just a few years—not because he’s special, but because he figured out how to turn obsession into execution. Now, he’s doing it again—publicly—one 100-day challenge at a time.
His past projects? Some were successes. Some flopped spectacularly. Each one left him a little wiser (and probably a little more caffeinated). Now, he’s on a mission to document his transformation—mind, body, career, and everything in between—so that others might pick up a thing or two along the way. Or at the very least, be entertained by the chaos.
